A distributed tool for monitoring and benchmarking multi-cloud infrastructures
cloudWatcher is a modular and declarative system for monitoring and benchmarking multi-region and multi-cloud OpenStack infrastructures. Developed with Consortium GARR, it is currently in production on the GARR Cloud.
Monitoring the proper functioning and performance of an infrastructure spanning multiple Cloud datacentres is challenging. This article proposes an open-source prototype tool to perform highly customisable fault and performance monitoring across multiple Clouds through a declarative configuration of monitoring tasks and aggregation policies.
