Events & festivals
Creating spaces where students, researchers, industry and the wider public can meet around science and technology.
Communication & Public Engagement
I design and contribute to public-engagement experiences around computing, robotics, artificial intelligence and quantum technologies - from festivals and hands-on workshops to talks, writing and community initiatives.
How I engage
Public engagement changes with the audience and the context. Sometimes it means creating a festival, sometimes designing a hands-on activity, giving a talk, writing, or contributing to a community that keeps the conversation moving.
Creating spaces where students, researchers, industry and the wider public can meet around science and technology.
Hands-on experiences built around programming, games, robots, demonstrations and experimentation.
Public talks, invited presentations and orientation activities for specialist and non-specialist audiences.
Articles, newsletters and editorial work that turn technical material into clear, accessible narratives.
Contributing to wider ecosystems that connect people around computing, quantum technologies and science communication.
Selected public engagement
Festival · public engagement · community

A public-engagement initiative that brings together school students, young researchers, academia, industry and the wider public around quantum technologies.
The festival combines introductory and hands-on activities with research exchange and public-facing conversations, creating several entry points into quantum computing rather than assuming a single audience or level of expertise.
Internet Festival · 2025 · 2 workshop sessions
Hands-on public engagement
Internet Festival · 2025 · 10 sessions
Robotics workshop
Bright Night · 2025
Quantum public engagement
Festival della Robotica · 2025 · 4 activities
Interactive AI engagement
Festivals & events
Some engagement happens inside a single workshop or talk. Other work is about creating or repeatedly contributing to the wider event in which those conversations can happen.

Two editions have developed the festival from a public-facing quantum event into a broader programme spanning schools, early-career researchers, academia, industry and the general public.
A recurring public-engagement presence across five editions, with workshops and educational pathways spanning blockchain, physical computing, debugging, quantum technologies and robotics.
Two editions of hands-on engagement around robotics and artificial intelligence, from programming robotic arms to gamified AI and Arduino activities.
Recurring public activities introducing programming and quantum technologies through accessible, low-barrier demonstrations and interactive formats.
Scientific and local-organising contribution to the national initiative around quantum science and technologies, including public activities in Pisa.
A public seminar series exploring artificial intelligence, explainability, network medicine and robotics and their impact on everyday life.
Three days of lectures, workshops, technical hackathons and talks designed to open quantum computing to a wider community.
Workshops & interactive engagement
Hands-on formats make technical ideas concrete. These activities use programming, robots, games and experimentation to give participants an active way into the subject.
Internet Festival
An educational workshop introducing quantum ideas through an interactive public-engagement format.
Internet Festival
Repeated robotics activities centred on direct participation and experimentation.
Festival della Robotica
Gamified activities for primary and secondary students exploring artificial intelligence.
Festival della Robotica
Mini-challenges around how robots are built, how they work and how they are programmed.
Bright Night
A low-barrier activity introducing programming through physical computing.
Internet Festival
An educational workshop unpacking the core ideas behind blockchain systems.
Speaking
Selected public, invited and orientation talks where the aim is to open a subject to a broader audience rather than present a research paper.

Writing & editorial
Writing, editorial work and communication roles have been part of the same thread for years: translating technical subjects into forms that people can enter and follow.

Communities & ongoing engagement
Public engagement also means contributing to communities and initiatives that keep knowledge moving after an individual event is over.
IBM Quantum · 2025 - Present
Selected community role within the global Qiskit ecosystem, contributing knowledge of quantum computing and quantum software.
Scientific Committee · 2024 - Present
Scientific and local-organising contribution to the national initiative around quantum science and technologies.
Technical-Scientific Committee & Editorial Team · 2023 - 2025
Scientific-community and editorial contribution to an Italian community dedicated to quantum science and technologies.
